Musk covered a wide range of subjects throughout the hour-long interview, including his tweets, driverless vehicles, internet free speech, and his sleeping habits.

Musk also met with French President Emmanuel Macron and participated in the Turkish national elections by censoring opposing tweets as instructed by the Turkish government. He came under legal attention personally because of a litigation involving Jeffrey Epstein.
Since Musk rarely gives time to major news organizations, his interview was noteworthy. On the advice of public relations specialist and talent agency Ari Emanuel, he agreed to the interview.
Musk voiced his displeasure with the change that OpenAI underwent from a nonprofit, open-source organization to a partially for-profit business that protects its work. He likened it to a charity organization that worked to save the Amazon rainforest before becoming a timber firm.
